The Customs boys are back in the basement with another choice selector in tow, this time it's Johannesburg's Dene. As the fellas say:
"He’s got the kwaito, he’s got the bubblegum.
For a few years now, Dene has been elevating South African music through La Casa Tropical - finding the jewels to light up sets from Antal to Palms Trax, Hunee to Orpheu the Wizard.
With a growing DJ rep too, Dene started one of Toronto’s best loft parties and finds himself in hot demand, running with the Rush Hour crew and at jams from Montreal to Amsterdam to Johannesburg."

"For the strong and the needy”
A collaboration party on a Hogarth tip between Behind This Wall, Forest Road Brewery and Victory London Distillery.
Customs went to Red Light Radio this weekend and have come back with SF psych man - Magic Touch - locked in their record bags.
For those that don't know: "Magic Touch mixes the psychedelic ethos of San Francisco with the house movements of Chicago, Detroit and smatters the whole thing with a solid nod to the UK rave underground".
We're giving this one: ❦❦❦
This Wednesday join us for a bit of Pisco panache with Macchu Pisco downstairs at Behind This Wall. Find out exactly what makes Peruvian Pisco so special in an interactive master class conducted by international brand ambassador Tasha Iny. As well as sampling an array of Pisco varietals and cocktail delights, you can treat yourselves to the bar’s spicy new Summer Menu starring the ’No Poblano’: a pisco sazerac-type with green chilli and rosemary honey! See you at the bar…
How about a green chilli & pisco sazerac? Triple strength pineapple and tomato daiquiri for you? A BTW riff on the zombie or classic pimms cup? The motif for our new summer drinks was simple: build 'em robust and boozy. There's few finer things in life than easing out of a long day spent over-sunning oneself in the park with a long, strong drink in a spicy basement.
We love the late night summer vibe down at 411 Mare Street and have come up with a selection of drinks to set the right mood for the shorter, warmer nights.
The menu launches on Wednesday, 21st June; and, again, we'd like to extend a special invitation to you (our most loyal readers) to join us for a taste.
